Live Work Eat Grow is looking for a part-time counselor for our Seed to Supper Summer Gardening Camp at the Hale Community Garden in Blacksburg. Seed to Supper takes place in 2 separate weeks in the summer, and teaches 6-8 year old kids where their food comes from with hands-on experience in the garden, as well as crafts, storytelling and games.
We are looking for someone with experience working with children who is passionate about gardening, nature, and/or environmental education. Camp takes place rain or shine and requires getting your hands dirty.
The two weeks are June 12th-16th, and July 30th-August 4th. Please submit a cover letter, resume, and list of 3 references to gardens@liveworkeatgrow.org
Wage $15/hr
2 weeks of camp over the course of the summer, 20/hrs per week, plus a few hours of planning in the Spring
