The mission of Live, Work, Eat, Grow is to cultivate and nourish communities through the support of local food, farms, and gardens; the creation and growth of jobs; the advocacy of a home for everyone, and the gathering of friends and neighbors.

We do this through fostering food based small business development, enhancing community vibrancy, increasing food security, and ensuring LWEG as an organization is strategically developed to be a financially sustainable and vibrant community organization.

Live Work Eat Grow initially formed to support the revitalization of the historic old Prices Fork elementary school which now provides affordable housing and economic development opportunities for new and expanding local food-based entrepreneurs through a commercial shared-use kitchen, a craft brewery, and a Mexican restaurant opening in 2021.

Live Work Eat Grow continues to manage the commercial shared-use Millstone Kitchen and its small business development and hunger relief programs.

Live Work Eat Grow also manages a Community Garden Program which includes the 70 plot Hale community garden, the 15 plot Wong Park community garden and a new 12 plot community garden at Cedar Hill park. The program is working in partnership with the Town of Blacksburg to develop additional community gardens throughout the community.
